lions roar~~~

was at the national stadium yesterday... watched the finals of the tiger cup between Singapore and Indonesia... it was my first time watching a soccer match live... and it was fabulous... the weather was great... i had the sun right in front of me... to suntan.. then the night weather was cooling... the atmosphere was one of crazy and wild... (actually crazy and wild is referring to the bald guy sitting close to us... he was like shouting lots of funny stuff... but he kinda scared mag... haha...)

was lucky to get in there early, got pretty good seats, for me charles fit and mag... sat beside very friendly malay guys... whom i eventually took a curry puff from... haha... it wasnt for me... but for fit... who did not manage to eat any lunch... and it was all my fault... haha...

took part in the Kallang waves... loved the stamping of feet before the wave came along... though i was kinda worried whether the stadium could all those beating... took part in some of the singing... ole oLe olE... We are the champions etc... sang the national anthem... first time felt so much pride in singing it... heh... actually it just felt good to intimidate the indonesians... with our numbers and singing...

match started... singapore scored on the 6th min... whole stadium went wild... indonesians packing bags... preparing to leave... heh... match was kinda boRing... cos it was quite plain to see that skills were not up to par compared to the English Premier League... but due to the atmosphere... we woOooo and wwOww and applaused everytime singapore managed to touch the ball (which was kinda often and thus abit taxing on our voice and body)... But singapore player... DICKsOn was kinda fast and entertaining to watch... he was rather good... but tat was just him alone...

close to the half time mark... singapore player got hacked inside the penalty area... Penalty awarded to Singapore!!! stadium went wild again... up stepped AGU... GOAL!!!!! he converted the penalty... score at half time was 2 - 0... indonesians were calling for cabs... some stood up... about to leave...

second half started... somehow the crowd was more interested in doing kallang waves instead of watching the match... at the start of the match, i jumped up with every wave... but as it gets on.... i just sat on the bench... raised my arms... haha... somewhere in the second half, indonesians scored... through some really nimble footwork... goal was kinda nice... credit to them... saw some indonesians unpacking their bag... haha... but hey... they needed 3 more goals... lalalala...

well... the match eventully ended... total aggregate score, Singapore 5 - 2 Indonesia... great experience of a lifetime... gonna do it again~~~
